Teach One to Lead One® Mentor

Today's youth need positive role models in their lives who can provide guidance, support and encouragement. The Teach One to Lead One® program equips caring adults to teach universal principles with a spirit of adventure and celebration to youth in their communities.

What does mentoring in the Teach One to Lead One® program look like?

Mentor teams work with youth in group settings. Each mentor team consists of 3-5 mentors working together to transform lives of students who could be facing a variety of challenges.

Each mentor is encouraged to engage with students in a positive way and teach them principles that will transform the way they live. Each Teach One to Lead One® session is full of activities designed to engage mentors with the students fostering relationships while simultaneously challenging the students to live out the principles they're being taught.

Students participate in the Teach One to Lead One® program through a variety of settings including middle schools, high schools, alternative schools, summer camps, juvenile court groups, and church youth groups.

Will I make an impact as a Teach One to Lead One® Mentor?

Some examples of this positive impact include decreases in drug/alcohol use, improvements of GPA, standing up for others that are being bullied, leaving the gang life and becoming leaders in their schools and communities. Students attribute this transformation to the universal principles taught to them by caring Teach One to Lead One® mentors.
